3D/4D Scan B - £195
What is a 3D/4D scan?
A 3D/4D scan will provide an opportunity to view your baby's features and movements. We offer this scan between 22 and 32 weeks, however scanning can be performed past 32 weeks although it can be more difficult to obtain a clear image if your baby is lying in an awkward position.
How accurate is the 3D/4D scan?
It is very rare that we are unable to obtain and 3D still and 4D moving images of your baby, please see our terms and conditions. If your baby is a little camera shy we will pause the scan and offer you a cold fizzy drink, chocolate and sometimes a walk or just a jiggle will help baby move.
If after this and at the end of your scanning session we have either not obtained any or only unclear images, you will be invited back for one COMPLIMENTARY rescan on an alternative date. From experience it is advisable that we rescan on an alternative date rather that later on the same day.

What scans are provided?
The initial scan will be performed in 2D mode to confirm the heartbeat including a visual and audio heart trace (audio not recorded) and position of your baby. An explanation of your baby's limbs and organs will also be provided. The scan will then alternate between 2D and 3D for capturing an unlimited amount of still images, and 4D for moving images of your baby.
Hopefully your baby will be awake for you to enjoy. During the scan we will provide our full fetal growth and development scan for extra parental reassurance. This consists of three measurements taken of your baby, head, abdomen and thigh, these are then calculated onto a chart and plotted on a graph to establish an estimated babies weight for your gestation week. If you wish to find out the gender of your baby we offer this complimentary.
The entire scan is recorded to a personalised DVD, and all the 3D stills, measurement chart/graph and a selection of 4D cine loops (as long as baby isn't asleep throughout the entire scan!) will be saved to a personalised CD rom. We will print 4 colour A6 size photos of your choice, 2 presented in photo mounts. The DVD, CD and photos are all supplied for you to take home at the conclusion of your scan.
- All captured still 2D and 3D images of baby, plus the growth calculation chart and graph are saved onto CD Rom/ DVD. Plus a selection of short 4D video loops of baby moving will also be saved onto the CD Rom.
- Personalised DVD recording of the entire scan.
- 4 6x4 size colour 3D prints of your choice, two presented in photo mounts.
